The best way to get a good price is to SHOP AROUND. So many people do not do this, just because they fall in love with a decently priced bed or nightstand, and feel instantly convinced that another piece this perfect just doesnt exist. Its best to browse through at least 3 reputable stores, before even talking to a salesperson. Or even better, shop around online to avoid salespeople altogether. Online stores often have a much higher selection than local retail stores anyway.
Start with your largest seating piece. It is usually a sofa or loveseat. This piece will provide the foundation for your furniture arrangement. Next, choose a comfortable armchair that provides good back support while youre watching television or chatting with friends. Theres no need to choose a chair that matches the sofa exactly. Matched living room furniture sets are outdated. Do, however, choose a fabric and a style that will coordinate with the sofa.
Shopping for furniture will be easier when you have a plan in mind. Choose seating based on the number of people who usually sit in the room, the planned activities and the available space. Youll be able to focus on buying the number and types of pieces that best meet your needs.
